The KRYLON EDE160207 is a 12-ounce aerosol heat resistant spray paint formulated for automotive and high-temperature surface applications. It delivers a high-gloss white finish and is rated to withstand temperatures up to 500 degrees F. The paint sprays through an EZ Touch conical nozzle, which provides consistent fan-width control and reduces hand fatigue during application. It resists oil and other automotive fluids, making it suitable for engine compartment components, exhaust shields, and similar metal surfaces. This product is used by automotive technicians, fleet maintenance crews, and experienced DIYers working on heat-exposed painted surfaces.
This paint is designed for use on metal surfaces that experience elevated operating temperatures, including engine blocks, valve covers, exhaust manifold heat shields, brake calipers, and underhood components. It is appropriate for both professional shop use and field service applications where a durable, heat-stable finish is required. The aerosol format requires no mixing and no additional spray equipment. Coverage is approximately 14 square feet per can at recommended spray distance and coat thickness.
Designed for use on clean, prepared metal surfaces subject to high heat, including automotive engine components, exhaust heat shields, and other underhood metal parts where a heat-stable finish is required.
Surface preparation is critical — clean the substrate free of oil, grease, rust, and loose paint before application. Apply in a well-ventilated area away from open flame or ignition sources, as aerosol propellants are flammable. Allow the recommended 30-minute dry time between coats and before returning surfaces to service. Follow all applicable safety data sheet guidelines for aerosol paint handling and disposal.
