Product Description

The KROIL KS162 is a petroleum-distillate-based penetrant lubricant delivered in a 16.5 oz aerosol can. It is formulated to attack corrosion, penetrate deeply into seized fasteners and fittings, and free rusted or carbon-fouled components quickly. The composition includes aliphatic alcohols, diisobutyl ketone, low-vapor-pressure aliphatic hydrocarbon, severely hydrotreated petroleum distillates, and a proprietary additive package. The KS162 is VOC compliant and rated for use up to 120 degrees F. It is intended for use by HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians, and mechanical service professionals who routinely encounter corroded or frozen hardware in the field.

The KS162 is well suited for loosening seized pipe fittings, rusted bolts, corroded electrical conduit connectors, and stuck mechanical fasteners in residential and light commercial service work. It removes rust and carbon deposits from threaded connections, valve stems, and equipment mounting hardware. The aerosol format allows direct application in tight spaces, making it practical on equipment racks, air handlers, panel enclosures, and piping assemblies where access is limited.
