The KLEIN TOOLS ET310 is a digital circuit breaker finder and GFCI outlet tester designed for electricians working on residential and light commercial panels. The tool operates on 90-120V AC circuits and consists of two components: a Transmitter that plugs into the outlet or fixture being tested, and a Receiver that scans the panel to pinpoint the correct breaker. When the matching breaker is located, the Receiver provides both a visual and audible signal for clear confirmation. The Transmitter draws power directly from the circuit, so no battery is required on that end. The Receiver runs on a single 9V battery, which is included.
The ET310 is used in residential and light commercial electrical work wherever a technician needs to identify which breaker controls a given outlet or fixture without trial-and-error switching. The Transmitter includes a built-in GFCI outlet tester that checks wiring conditions and verifies proper GFCI device operation at the same time. The Transmitter connects to standard North American three-prong grounded outlets and can be adapted to other fixtures using optional accessories sold separately under Cat. No. 69411. The Transmitter docks inside the Receiver for single-unit storage when not in use.
Compatible with 90-120V AC circuits connected to standard North American grounded electrical outlets. Optional accessories for connection to other fixture types are sold separately under Cat. No. 69411.
This tool is intended for use by licensed electricians and qualified electrical technicians. Do not use on circuits outside the 90-120V AC rated range or beyond the CAT II measurement category. Inspect the outlet for visible damage before connecting the Transmitter. Follow applicable NEC guidelines and local code requirements when working in electrical panels.
