The KLEIN TOOLS D310-6C is a tapered long nose plier built for electricians, HVAC technicians, and other tradespeople who need precise gripping and bending in tight spaces. The jaw is knurled and tapered, giving it a firm hold on wire, small fasteners, and components in confined areas. At 6.625 inches overall length, it sits in a mid-size class that balances reach with control. The drop-forged alloy steel construction is hardened and tempered for durability under repeated use. A spring-loaded mechanism returns the jaw to the open position automatically, reducing hand fatigue on high-repetition tasks.
The D310-6C is suited for residential and commercial electrical work, low-voltage wiring, control panel assembly, and general HVAC service where fine manipulation is required. The plastic-dipped handle provides grip insulation during non-energized work. Its jaw length of 1.9375 inches and jaw width of 0.375 inches make it practical for reaching into wire bundles, conduit boxes, and terminal strips. Sold individually; also available in a 6-unit pack configuration.
Designed as a general-purpose tapered long nose plier for use across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and light mechanical service applications.
Long nose pliers should not be used on energized conductors unless rated and labeled for live-voltage work — confirm the tool rating before any energized application. Always de-energize and lock out equipment before servicing electrical panels, control boards, or wiring. These pliers are not designed for cutting unless a cutting edge is specified. Inspect the jaw and handle before each use and replace if the tool shows cracks, worn knurling, or handle damage.
