The KLEIN TOOLS D213-9 is a 9-inch high-leverage lineman plier with a square nose design built for twisting, grabbing, and cutting wire in electrical work. The pivot rivet is positioned closer to the cutting edge than standard plier designs, delivering 46% more cutting and gripping power. Induction hardened cutting knives extend service life under repeated use. The plier head is precision-hardened for job-site durability, and the exclusive handle tempering absorbs the snap that occurs when cutting wire. Forged from custom US-made tool steel, the D213-9 is manufactured in the USA.
The D213-9 is suited for electrical trades work including rough-in wiring, service work, and panel work where a lineman plier is the standard tool. The square nose jaw provides a flat gripping surface for bending and twisting conductors. Cross-hatched knurled jaws improve grip on wire, fittings, and connectors. Plastic-dipped Handform handles fit the natural grip position for extended use without added fatigue. This tool is sold as an individual unit and is appropriate for licensed electricians, apprentices, and electrical contractors.
Designed as a standard 9-inch lineman plier for electrical trade use where a high-leverage square nose side-cutting plier is specified.
The D213-9 is a hand tool intended for use by electricians and electrical trade professionals. No power source or fastener installation is involved, but standard electrical safety practice requires de-energizing circuits before working on conductors. Inspect the cutting knives and joint action before each use. Do not use plier handles as a pry bar or hammer, as this can damage the hot-riveted joint and reduce cutting performance.
