The KLEIN TOOLS 640-5/8 is a hollow-shaft nut driver designed for driving hex fasteners in tight or deep-bolt applications where solid-shaft tools cannot pass over threaded rod or long bolt ends. The 5/8-inch hex drive fits standard hex nuts and bolt heads of the same size. The shank measures 4 inches in length and is manufactured from heat-treated, tempered, chrome-plated steel for durability under torque load. A plastic-dipped finish on the shank adds corrosion resistance. This tool is sold individually and is a standard hand tool used by electricians, HVAC technicians, plumbers, and other trades for panel work, equipment installation, and general fastener driving.
The 640-5/8 is suited for residential and light commercial service work where a 5/8-inch hex fastener is common. The hollow shaft design allows it to seat fully over extended threaded rod or stud ends, making it useful for conduit fittings, equipment mounting hardware, and electrical panel connections. The cushion-grip handle provides a firm hold during extended use. This driver is compatible with standard hand-tool use and is not intended for power-driver or impact applications.
Designed as a standard hollow-shaft nut driver for use with 5/8-inch hex fasteners in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general trade applications.
This tool is installed and used by licensed electricians, HVAC technicians, and plumbers as a hand tool for fastener driving. Always de-energize electrical equipment and follow NFPA 70E arc-flash safety procedures before using any hand tool near live panels or terminals. Do not use this driver with a power drill or impact driver, as it is rated for hand-torque use only. Inspect the shank and handle for damage before each use.
