The KLEIN TOOLS 630-5/16 is a hollow shaft nut driver designed for fastening and loosening hex nuts in electrical, HVAC, and general trade work. The hollow shaft design allows the driver to slide over long bolts and threaded studs, eliminating the clearance problems that stop solid-shaft drivers cold. The 5/16-inch hex size is one of the most common in trade applications. The shank measures 3 inches, and the overall length is 6.75 inches. A cushion grip handle provides comfort and control during extended use. This tool is sold individually and is suited for use by electricians, HVAC technicians, and plumbers who work with panel hardware, equipment enclosures, and mechanical fasteners regularly.
The 630-5/16 is well suited for residential and light commercial service work where hex nut fasteners appear on electrical panels, disconnect boxes, HVAC equipment cabinets, and plumbing fixture hardware. The hollow shaft is particularly useful when working on threaded rod assemblies or any application where the bolt protrudes beyond the nut face. The 5/16-inch drive size is standard on many equipment cover screws and terminal block hardware across multiple trade disciplines.
Designed as a standard 5/16-inch hollow shaft nut driver suitable for general trade use on hex nuts and hex-head fasteners of that drive size.
No power-down procedure is required for this hand tool itself, but always de-energize electrical panels and equipment before using any nut driver near live terminals. Inspect the handle and shank for cracks or damage before each use. Do not use a nut driver as a substitute for an impact driver or apply a cheater bar to the handle, as this can damage the tool and cause injury.
