The KLEIN TOOLS 3265 is a structural bull pin used to align bolt holes in steel connections during ironworking, steel erection, and heavy construction. The pin measures 12 inches in overall length with a 1-1/4 inch body diameter and a 7/16 inch pilot diameter at the tapered tip. The 1-5/16 inch top diameter provides a solid striking surface for hammer-driven alignment. Manufactured from heat-treated steel with a black finish, the 3265 is built for repeated impact use in demanding field conditions. It is sold individually.
Bull pins are a standard tool on structural steel jobs, used by ironworkers and construction crews to draw misaligned bolt holes into register before bolts are inserted. The 3265 fits typical applications in beam and column connections, decking, and plate work where hole alignment is required prior to final fastening. The heat-treated construction resists deformation under repeated hammer blows, making it suited for production-pace ironworking on commercial and industrial projects.
Designed as a standard bull pin for structural steel alignment tasks in ironworking and general heavy construction applications where 7/16 inch pilot engagement is required.
Bull pins are driven by hand with a hammer or sledge by qualified ironworkers during steel erection. Always inspect the pin before use for cracks, mushrooming at the top, or deformation at the pilot tip. Never use a damaged bull pin. Follow applicable OSHA fall protection and struck-by hazard protocols when working at elevation on structural steel.
