The KLEIN TOOLS 3/4tee is a solder-joint copper tee fitting designed for supply and pressurized plumbing systems. It uses a C x C x C (copper sweat) connection on all three ports, each sized at 3/4 inches outside diameter. The fitting is manufactured from high-grade WROT copper and is built to applicable ASME standards including B16.18 and B16.22, ensuring consistent dimensions and reliable joints. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting when branching a 3/4-inch copper line in potable water supply or other pressurized applications. Its construction meets NSF 61G requirements for contact with drinking water.
This fitting is suited for above-ground potable water supply systems in both residential and light commercial installations. Typical use cases include branching runs at fixture supply lines, manifold assemblies, or any point where a 3/4-inch copper line must split into two directions. The uniform 3/4-inch OD on all three outlets simplifies layout in straight-run branching scenarios. It is compatible with standard copper tube and solder-joint fittings used in sweat-soldered copper plumbing assemblies.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for above-ground potable water supply systems using 3/4-inch copper tube with sweat solder-joint connections.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber following applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before cutting into any existing copper line. Clean and flux all mating surfaces before applying solder; use lead-free solder where required by code for potable water systems. Do not apply heat directly to the fitting body for extended periods, as excessive heat can compromise the joint integrity.
