The KLEIN TOOLS 1224BI-P is a bi-metal hacksaw blade designed for cutting metal pipe, conduit, strut, and structural steel in trade applications. At 12 inches in length with a 24 teeth-per-inch (TPI) count, this blade delivers a fine, controlled cut suited for ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The bi-metal construction bonds a high-speed steel tooth edge to a flexible alloy steel back, giving the blade durability under repeated flexing and reducing tooth breakage during demanding cuts. Each package contains 10 blades, making it a practical stock item for service vans and job-site toolboxes. Electricians, plumbers, and pipefitters are the primary users of this blade type.
This blade is used in standard 12-inch hacksaw frames common on residential and commercial job sites. The 24 TPI count is well suited for medium-wall pipe, conduit, angle iron, and sheet metal where a balance of cut speed and finish quality is needed. Coarser TPI blades cut faster in thick stock, but the 24 TPI count handles a broad range of material thicknesses without excessive tooth loading. The 10-blade pack supports ongoing work without frequent reordering.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement blade for standard 12-inch hacksaw frames used in plumbing, electrical, and mechanical trade applications.
Hacksaw blades are installed and replaced by electricians, plumbers, pipefitters, and general mechanical trade workers. Ensure the blade is seated fully in the frame pins and tensioned firmly before cutting to prevent blade wander or breakage. Wear appropriate eye protection when cutting metal. Dispose of used blades safely to prevent laceration hazards.
