The KLEIN TOOLS 11045-INS is a spring-loaded, self-opening wire stripper designed for stripping solid wire from 18 AWG to 10 AWG. The narrow nose profile allows access in tight wiring compartments and junction boxes where standard strippers cannot reach. Blades are hardened steel for long-term edge retention under repeated use. The handle is fully insulated and constructed of hardened steel, making this tool appropriate for electricians working in low-voltage and line-voltage residential and commercial wiring applications. Wire looping holes are integrated for forming terminal loops without a separate tool. This stripper ships as a single unit and is stocked in case quantities of six.
The 11045-INS is suited for electricians, low-voltage technicians, and panel wiring work where precise stripping of solid conductors is required. The self-opening spring mechanism reduces hand fatigue during repetitive stripping tasks, making it practical for rough-in wiring, device installations, and panel terminations. The 10 AWG to 18 AWG range covers the most common residential branch-circuit and control-wiring conductor sizes encountered in the field.
Designed for stripping solid copper conductors in the 10 AWG to 18 AWG range, suitable for residential and light commercial electrical wiring applications.
This tool is intended for use by qualified electricians and low-voltage technicians. Always de-energize and verify circuits are de-energized before stripping conductors. Follow applicable NEC requirements for conductor preparation and termination. Inspect blades periodically for wear and replace the tool if stripping performance degrades.
