The KIPP K0323.05 is a threaded spring plunger designed for precise positioning, indexing, and locking applications in mechanical assemblies. It features an M5 thread with a 12.00 mm (0.4724 inches) thread length and a maximum plunger diameter of 2.40 mm (0.0945 inches). The plunger delivers an initial end force of 6.00 N and a final end force of 20.00 N, providing reliable spring-loaded engagement. Both the body and nose are constructed from steel for durability in industrial environments. The locking element feature locks the plunger in the retracted position, preventing unintended engagement during assembly or adjustment. Installation is accomplished via a slotted drive.
This spring plunger is suited for use in fixtures, jigs, machine tools, and general mechanical assemblies where controlled spring force is needed for part location or detent action. The compact M5 threaded body fits standard tapped holes and is appropriate for light-duty positioning tasks in both OEM manufacturing and maintenance applications. Machinists, tool and die makers, and mechanical assemblers are the primary installers of this component.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit component for mechanical assemblies requiring an M5 threaded spring plunger with a locking element.
Install into a pre-tapped M5 hole using a slotted screwdriver or flat-blade driver. Ensure the mating thread is clean and free of debris before installation. De-energize or lock out any powered equipment before servicing assemblies containing this plunger. Do not exceed the rated end force by modifying the spring or over-driving the plunger beyond its specified projection.
