The KING 61241 Dryconn waterproof wire connector is a twist-on style connector engineered for direct burial and outdoor wet-location splices. It seals the connection against moisture intrusion, making it the standard choice for irrigation control wiring and low-voltage outdoor circuits. Rated for 600 volts AC on building wire and 1000 volts AC on sign or luminaire circuits, the 61241 handles copper conductors from 22 AWG through 8 AWG. The connector is UL listed to both U.S. and Canadian standards. Each canister ships 100 connectors in a black and gray finish.
The 61241 is widely used in residential and commercial irrigation system installations where splice points are exposed to ground moisture, direct burial conditions, or frequent irrigation spray. Electricians and irrigation technicians rely on this connector when splicing valve solenoid leads, sensor wiring, and low-voltage control runs. The compact 1-19/64 inch length by 43/64 inch height profile fits standard valve boxes without crowding. The waterproof gel fill eliminates the need for separate tape or sealant at the splice.
Designed for use with copper wire in outdoor irrigation control wiring applications. Suitable for direct burial splices and wet-location connections where a UL-listed waterproof connector is required.
Installation is typically performed by licensed electricians or irrigation technicians. De-energize all circuits before making or breaking any wire connections. Twist the connector firmly onto stripped wire ends until the gel fully seats around the conductors. Follow applicable NEC requirements for splice protection and burial depth when used in direct burial applications.
