The KILLARK XCS-0B5 is a hazardous location pushbutton station designed for use in environments where explosive gases, vapors, or dusts may be present. This enclosure-style control station houses pushbutton operator controls and provides a ruggedized interface for starting, stopping, or signaling industrial equipment. Built to meet the demands of classified locations, the XCS-0B5 is suited for installation by licensed electricians working in petrochemical, oil and gas, wastewater, mining, and heavy industrial facilities. The unit measures 6.25 inches long by 6.0 inches wide by 4.25 inches high and weighs approximately 1.35 pounds.
The XCS-0B5 is intended for hazardous location applications in Class I and Class II environments where a durable, code-compliant pushbutton station is required. Typical installations include motor control circuits, conveyor start-stop stations, pump control panels, and process equipment operator interfaces in industrial facilities. It is installed as part of a low-voltage control circuit and is appropriate for both new construction and retrofit projects in classified areas.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation pushbutton station for hazardous location control circuit applications in industrial and commercial facilities.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NFPA 70 (NEC) Article 500 requirements for hazardous classified locations. De-energize all circuits and verify lockout-tagout procedures are complete before beginning installation or wiring. Conduit seals may be required per NEC Article 501 at enclosure entries depending on the hazardous location classification. Do not modify the enclosure or operator assembly in any way that could compromise the hazardous location rating.
