The Kidde I12040 is a smoke alarm that runs on AC and DC power. It connects to a 120V power source and includes a nine-volt battery backup. This alarm uses ionization to detect smoke from flaming fires faster than photoelectric models. Kidde recommends using both ionization and photoelectric alarms for comprehensive fire safety.

This smoke alarm can be purchased in a six-piece cut case with a tray for easy display or a six-piece bulk pack for contractors and property owners. It is UL Listed and comes with a ten-year limited warranty.
