The KIDDE EDWARDS FX-64R is a single-loop addressable fire alarm control panel (FACP) rated for up to 64 addressable points and designed for 110-volt AC power input. Built in a red enclosure for immediate visual identification as life-safety equipment, this panel serves as the central command hub for an addressable detection and notification system. It monitors connected initiating devices, processes alarm signals, and drives notification appliances according to programmed logic. Installation and commissioning are performed by licensed fire alarm technicians in compliance with NFPA 72 and applicable local codes.
This panel is suited for light commercial, institutional, and mid-size facility applications where a single addressable loop is sufficient to cover all detection zones. Typical installations include small office buildings, schools, healthcare clinics, and similar occupancies requiring a code-compliant addressable fire alarm system. The 64-point capacity provides flexibility to distribute detectors, modules, and pull stations across the protected space without exceeding loop capacity. The red enclosure meets conventional field identification expectations for fire alarm equipment.
Designed as an OEM-style addressable fire alarm control panel for single-loop addressable detection systems requiring up to 64 addressable points on 110-volt AC power.
Installation must be performed by a licensed fire alarm technician in accordance with NFPA 72, local fire codes, and the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ). Disconnect and lockout all AC power and verify battery backup is discharged before servicing internal components. Proper grounding of the panel enclosure is required per applicable electrical codes. Do not energize the panel until all wiring connections have been verified and the system has been fully programmed and tested.
