Installation must be performed by a qualified fire alarm technician holding applicable state or local licensing, in accordance with NFPA 72 and local fire codes. De-energize the fire alarm circuit at the control panel before removing or installing any detector. Mount the detector at the appropriate spacing per NFPA 72 Chapter 17 heat detector placement guidelines.
