The KIDDE 21006406 is a hardwired, AC-powered carbon monoxide alarm designed for residential installation by licensed electricians or qualified HVAC technicians. Operating at 120 volts AC, the unit draws power directly from household wiring and includes a 9V lithium-ion battery for backup operation during power interruptions. The alarm produces a maximum 85 decibel alert tone to signal dangerous CO levels. At 5.75 inches in diameter and 1.8 inches in projection depth, it mounts flush to a standard wall or ceiling electrical box. A tamper-resistant locking feature and sealed cover protect the unit once installed.
