The KEYSTONE KTEB-259-UV-IS-N-DP is an electronic fluorescent ballast designed to drive two F96T8 lamps at 59 watts each. It operates on a universal voltage range of 120 to 277 VAC at 50/60 Hz, making it suitable for a broad range of commercial and industrial lighting installations. The instant-start circuit type ignites lamps immediately without a preheating cycle, and the high power factor (HPF) design delivers a power factor of 0.98, minimizing reactive load on the electrical system. The steel case measures 9.5 inches long by 1.3 inches wide by 1.1 inches high. Electricians and lighting maintenance technicians are the primary installers of this ballast.
This ballast is suited for commercial, industrial, and institutional fluorescent lighting systems using 8-foot T8 fluorescent tubes. Typical applications include warehouse high-bay fixtures, retail strip lights, and commercial office troffers that accept F96T8 lamps. The parallel wiring configuration allows remaining lamps to continue operating if one lamp fails. With a dual ballast factor of 0.88 (normal output) and 1.09 (high output), installers can select the operating mode that matches the fixture and energy requirements of the project. Minimum starting temperature is 0 degrees C, making it appropriate for unconditioned spaces such as parking garages and loading docks where temperatures remain above freezing.
Designed as a direct electronic ballast replacement for 2-lamp F96T8 fluorescent fixtures operating on 120 to 277 VAC systems. Consult fixture documentation to confirm lamp count, lamp type, and voltage requirements before installation.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit at the panel before removing the existing ballast or making any wiring connections. Confirm that the supply voltage matches the ballast input voltage range and that the fixture lamp type is F96T8 before energizing. Do not operate the ballast outside its rated lamp-count or lamp-wattage specifications.
