The KEYSTONE HPS-100X-Q-KIT is a core-and-coil HID ballast kit designed for 150-watt High Pressure Sodium (HPS) lamp systems. The kit ships complete with a dry-film capacitor rated at 10 microfarads, a pre-wired igniter, a mounting bracket, and all required hardware. The HX-HPF circuit type provides high power factor operation, and the quad 4-tap voltage configuration accepts 120, 208, 240, or 277 volts at 60 Hz, making it adaptable to a wide range of commercial and industrial power supplies. Copper winding construction and an insulation class rated to 180 degrees C support long service life in demanding environments. Licensed electricians handle installation as part of HID fixture maintenance or retrofit work.
This ballast kit is suited for commercial and industrial HID lighting applications using 150-watt High Pressure Sodium lamps conforming to ANSI Code S54. Typical installations include warehouse lighting, parking lot fixtures, street lighting, and industrial high-bay or low-bay luminaires. The 4-tap winding eliminates the need for a separate multi-voltage transformer, simplifying field wiring across different facility voltage configurations. The pre-wired igniter reduces assembly time during fixture service or new installation.
Designed for use with 150-watt High Pressure Sodium lamps meeting ANSI Code S54 in HID luminaires requiring an HX-HPF core-and-coil ballast with quad 4-tap voltage capability.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the fixture at the breaker before removing the existing ballast or handling any wiring. Verify the tap wire connection matches the supply voltage at the fixture before restoring power. Do not energize the ballast without a lamp and igniter circuit in place, as the open-circuit voltage can reach 280 volts.
