The KEO 919-000-921 is a single-flute solid carbide countersink designed for precision chamfering, countersinking, and deburring operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 3/4-inch head diameter, a 60-degree included angle, and a 3/8-inch shank diameter, this tool fits standard drill chucks and collet holders used on manual mills, drill presses, and CNC equipment. The solid carbide construction delivers superior hardness and wear resistance compared to HSS tooling, making it well suited for harder workpiece materials and high-cycle production environments. Overall length is 2.75 inches, keeping the tool rigid and minimizing deflection during operation.
This countersink is appropriate for job shop and production machining environments where consistent chamfer geometry and clean edge prep are required. Typical applications include countersinking fastener holes for flat-head screws, deburring drilled hole entries and exits, and applying uniform chamfers on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 60-degree included angle matches standard flat-head fastener geometry common in aerospace, automotive, and general metalworking setups. The single-flute design allows for smooth chip evacuation and reduced chatter on harder materials.
Designed as a standard single-flute carbide countersink for use in drill presses, manual mills, and CNC machining centers accepting a 3/8-inch shank diameter.
Installation is performed by a machinist or tooling technician. Secure the 3/8-inch shank firmly in a collet, end mill holder, or keyed chuck before operation, and verify runout with an indicator when precision chamfer geometry is critical. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing or inspecting the tool. Do not exceed the recommended speeds and feeds for solid carbide tooling in the material being machined, as carbide is brittle and susceptible to chipping under excessive lateral load or interrupted cuts without proper setup.
