The KEO 919-000-358 is a six-flute high-speed steel countersink designed for creating clean, accurate conical seat profiles in metal workpieces. It features a 1-1/4 inch head diameter and an 82-degree included angle, making it suited for standard flat-head fastener applications in production and maintenance environments. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 1/2 inch in diameter and 1-1/4 inches in length, allowing secure chuck retention on drill presses, CNC machining centers, and hand-held power tools. Right-hand cutting geometry is standard. This tool is used by machinists, tool-and-die tradespeople, and general metalworking shops.
This countersink is intended for use in countersinking operations on ferrous and non-ferrous metals in both shop and field environments. The six-flute design reduces chatter and produces a smoother surface finish compared to single- or three-flute alternatives. No pilot is included, so it runs in a pre-drilled hole. It is a single-end tool with no countersink head-only configuration, meaning the shank and cutting head are one integral piece. Typical applications include preparing hole seats for flat-head machine screws and socket flat-head cap screws in fabrication, assembly, and repair work.
Designed as a standard replacement or stock countersink for metalworking applications requiring an 82-degree, six-flute high-speed steel tool with a 1/2 inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or metalworking tradespeople familiar with rotary cutting tools. Secure the shank firmly in a drill chuck or collet before operation and verify the workpiece is clamped or fixtured to prevent movement. Use appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to extend tool life and improve finish quality. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and replace the tool if chipping or excessive wear is observed.
