The KEO 917-000-041 is a single-end, three-flute countersink designed for creating accurately chamfered holes in metal and other materials. Built from high-speed steel, it delivers consistent cutting performance in production and maintenance environments. The tool features a 3/4 inch head diameter and a 120-degree included angle, which translates to a 60-degree centerline angle, making it well-suited for standard fastener seating applications. The 1/2 inch straight-cylindrical shank fits conventional drill chucks and milling machine collets. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, and maintenance technicians commonly use this countersink for deburring and fastener-seating operations on steel, aluminum, and similar workpiece materials.
This countersink is intended for countersinking operations where a 120-degree included angle is specified by print or fastener requirements. The straight-cylindrical shank allows installation in standard drill press chucks, hand drills, and milling machine setups. With no pilot included, it is appropriate for use where the operator controls hole registration through fixturing or layout. The compact shank length of 1-1/4 inches keeps the tool rigid in short-reach setups, reducing chatter and improving finish quality at the chamfer.
Designed as an OEM-style countersink for use in drill presses, hand drills, and milling machines accepting a 1/2 inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Machinists and maintenance technicians install this countersink. Power down the machine and confirm the spindle is fully stopped before inserting or removing the tool from the chuck or collet. Secure the shank firmly to the full jaw depth of the chuck to minimize runout. Feed rate and spindle speed should be selected based on workpiece material and tool diameter per standard machining practice - avoid excessive feed pressure, which can cause chatter or tool damage.
