The KEO 906-000-272 is a combination drill and countersink designed for simultaneous drilling and countersinking in a single operation. Built from cobalt high-speed steel, it handles tough materials including stainless steel, high-nickel alloys, and hardened steels that standard HSS tooling cannot manage efficiently. The bright, uncoated finish is standard for cobalt-grade tooling. Key dimensions include a 3/4-inch body diameter, a 1/4-inch drill point diameter, and a 3-1/2-inch overall length. The 118-degree drill point angle suits general-purpose metalworking, while the 60-degree included angle on the bell countersink produces a clean, consistent countersink seat. This tool is installed and operated by machinists, tool and die makers, and metalworking tradespeople.
This combo drill countersink is suited for production and maintenance environments where countersinking flat-head fastener seats in metal workpieces is required. Trade size 18 positions it for light-to-medium diameter pilot holes paired with a standard countersink profile. The right-hand cutting direction and bell-style cutting edge make it compatible with conventional drill presses, CNC machining centers, and manual milling setups. It is a non-tapered, non-aircraft-style tool intended for standard countersinking applications in ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
Designed as a standard combo drill countersink for use in drill presses, CNC machining centers, and manual milling machines that accept tooling with a 3/4-inch body diameter.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or metalworking tradespeople familiar with rotating cutting tools. Secure the tool firmly in an appropriate chuck or collet rated for the body diameter before operation, and verify spindle speed is appropriate for the workpiece material and tool diameter. Always use a cutting fluid compatible with cobalt tooling when working ferrous metals to manage heat buildup. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and do not operate a chipped or damaged tool.
