The KEO 902-000-060 is a solid pilot counterbore designed for producing clean, flat-bottomed counterbore seats for socket-head cap screws. Machined from cobalt steel with a bright, uncoated finish, this tool delivers solid rigidity and heat resistance suited for production and job-shop environments. The three-flute geometry provides a balance of chip evacuation and surface finish quality. With a 15 mm counterbore diameter and a standard 9 mm pilot diameter, the tool self-aligns in a pre-drilled pilot hole, keeping the counterbore concentric with the clearance bore. Machinists and toolroom professionals rely on this type of tool when fastener seat geometry must be held to tight tolerances.
This counterbore is intended for use in metalworking applications where socket-head cap screws require a recessed, flat seat. It is compatible with M8 fasteners, based on the 8 mm fastener size compatibility rating. The 12.5 mm shank diameter suits standard toolholders and drill press chucks common in both CNC and manual machining setups. The 100 mm overall length provides sufficient reach for most standard workpiece depths. Typical users include machinists, toolmakers, and maintenance technicians working in fabrication shops, manufacturing facilities, and maintenance departments.
Designed for use with M8 socket-head cap screws, with a fastener size compatibility rating of 8 mm. Fits standard toolholders and chucks accepting a 12.5 mm shank diameter.
Install and operate this counterbore in a drill press, milling machine, or CNC machining center with appropriate workholding. Always pre-drill the pilot hole to the correct diameter before counterboring to allow the pilot to seat properly and prevent tool wander. Apply appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to extend tool life and improve surface finish. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing or inspecting tooling.
