The KENNAMETAL 7093523 is a WNMG-style carbide turning insert designed for general-purpose external turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. Manufactured in the KCU10B grade with an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating, this insert delivers heat resistance and wear life across a range of workpiece materials. The trigon insert shape provides six cutting edges per insert, extending tool life between change-outs. The MP chip breaker geometry is suited for medium-pass turning applications where controlled chip evacuation and edge stability are required. With a corner radius of 0.0313 inches (1/32 inch) and a neutral hand orientation, this insert fits standard WNMG toolholders used throughout production and job-shop environments. Machinists and CNC operators handle installation.
The 7093523 is suited for medium turning operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials in production environments. The WNMG insert style and W shape code make it compatible with a wide range of WNMG-designated toolholders. The neutral hand orientation allows use on both right-hand and left-hand cutting configurations depending on toolholder setup. The AlTiN coating supports elevated cutting speeds and dry or minimal-coolant machining where heat generation at the cutting zone is a primary concern. Each package contains one insert, with a minimum order quantity of five units.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement insert for standard WNMG toolholders accepting size code 432 inserts with an N clearance code and M tolerance code.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Before indexing or replacing the insert, power down the machine spindle and confirm the turret or toolpost is fully stopped. Use the appropriate torque wrench and clamping screw specified by the toolholder manufacturer when seating the insert to prevent insert rocking or premature edge failure. Inspect the insert pocket for chips or debris before seating a new cutting edge.
