The KENNAMETAL 7090631 is a TNMG-style carbide turning insert designed for general metal cutting operations on CNC and manual lathes. This neutral-hand insert features a triangular shape with a 60-degree included angle, an inscribed circle of 0.75 inches (19.05 mm), and a corner radius of 0.0938 inches (3/32 inch, 2.38 mm). The KCU10B grade substrate is coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) for improved heat resistance and wear life at elevated cutting speeds. Six cutting edges per insert help reduce per-edge tooling cost in production environments. Machinists and toolroom operators use this insert in standard TNMG toolholders.

This insert is suited for turning operations on steel, stainless steel, and similar workpiece materials in both roughing and finishing passes where the RP chip breaker geometry is appropriate.
