The KENNAMETAL 7026678 is a SNMG433RN-style square carbide turning insert in the KCP25C grade, designed for medium to heavy turning operations in metalworking applications. It features a multilayer CVD coating of TiCN and Al2O3, delivering wear resistance and thermal stability under demanding cut conditions. The insert measures 0.5 inches in length and 0.5 inches inscribed circle diameter, with a corner radius of 3/64 inches (0.0469 inches) and a 3/16-inch thickness. The RN chip breaker geometry and chamfered-and-honed cutting edge are suited for continuous and interrupted cuts on steel and cast iron workpieces. This insert is installed by machinists and CNC turning professionals in production environments.
This insert is designed for use in turning, facing, and boring operations on a lathe or turning center. It targets primary workpiece materials including steel (ISO P) and cast iron (ISO K).
