The KENNAMETAL 6769791 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. Built on the KOR5 series platform, it features a 3/4-inch mill diameter, a 0.06-inch corner radius, and five flutes with a high-helix spiral geometry. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting ferrous and hard materials. A Weldon flat shank and coolant-through capability make it well-suited for rigid setups where chip evacuation and heat management are critical. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling specialists are the primary installers and operators of this tool.
This end mill is built for both roughing and finishing operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. With a 2.25-inch length of cut and a 5-inch overall length, it handles medium-depth pocketing, slotting, and contouring tasks in production and job-shop environments. The non-centercutting, single-end configuration and right-hand flute direction are standard for vertical and horizontal machining center use. Compatible toolholding systems listed include EM-CV Form AD and EM IN-HSK Form A holders.
Compatible toolholding systems include EM-CV Form AD and EM IN-HSK Form A. Designed for use in CNC machining centers running right-hand cutting direction. Primary workpiece materials are steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials (ISO material codes P, M, K, S, H).
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified CNC machinists or tooling technicians familiar with end mill setup and speeds-and-feeds selection. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is properly torqued before mounting. Confirm the Weldon flat is correctly aligned with the setscrew in the holder to prevent axial pullout. Enable coolant-through supply before beginning cuts to maintain proper chip evacuation and tool temperature.
