The KENNAMETAL 6769720 is a 5-flute, solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. It carries a 0.030 inch corner radius and a 1/4 inch cutting diameter, with a 3/4 inch length of cut and a 2-1/2 inch overall length. The submicron carbide substrate is finished with an AlTiN PVD coating, which supports heat resistance and tool life when cutting ferrous and hard materials. A 40-degree high-helix spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation. Coolant-through capability allows internal delivery of cutting fluid directly to the cutting edge. This tool is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments.
The 6769720 is engineered for roughing and finishing operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The single-end, right-hand cutting and right-hand flute configuration suits standard vertical and horizontal CNC machining center setups. It is rated for use with HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores and HC-CV Form AD toolholding systems. Normal pitch and standard-length flute geometry make this a versatile choice for general-purpose profiling, slotting, and contouring in challenging workpiece materials.
Designed for use with HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores and HC-CV Form AD toolholders. Applicable to workpiece materials coded P, M, K, S, and H, covering steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine control in a safe state. Secure the 1/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank in a compatible toolholder to the manufacturer-specified engagement depth before operation. Verify runout with a dial indicator after mounting to confirm proper seating. Follow shop safety protocols and machine builder guidelines for speeds, feeds, and coolant pressure settings appropriate to the workpiece material.
