The KENNAMETAL 6769564 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining applications. Built on the H1TE series platform, this single-end tool features a 10.00 mm (0.3937 inches) cutting diameter and a matching 10.00 mm shank diameter, making it a straight-shank configuration ready for standard collet or end mill holders. The 4-flute geometry with a variable helix angle of 36 to 39 degrees reduces chatter and improves surface finish at higher feed rates. An AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting ferrous and difficult-to-machine alloys. Material grade KCPM15 is the substrate designation. This tool is installed by machinists and CNC programmers working in job shop, production, and aerospace environments.
The 6769564 is rated for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials, covering ISO material codes P, M, K, S, and H. The 22.00 mm length of cut and 30.00 mm reach length suit both shallow and extended-reach operations. The extended reach design makes it suitable for pocketing and profiling where a longer tool hang is required. Variable index spacing between flutes reduces harmonic vibration, which is especially useful when machining thin-walled workpieces or high-strength alloys at aggressive parameters. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. Coolant-through is not supported on this tool; external flood or mist coolant should be used instead.
Designed for use with steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials (ISO codes P, M, K, S, H). Part of the Kennametal H1TE series. Fits standard 10.00 mm collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and hydraulic end mill holders accepting a 0.3937 inch shank.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured in a clean, properly sized collet or holder before engaging the drawbar or clamping mechanism. Confirm runout at the tool tip before beginning a production cut, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on variable-helix tools. Because coolant-through is not supported, set up external flood or mist coolant directed at the cutting zone to manage heat and chip evacuation.
