The KENNAMETAL 6767785 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill built for demanding metal removal in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It carries a 0.015 inch corner radius that protects the cutting edge and improves surface finish in roughing and finishing passes alike. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. With a 1/4 inch diameter, four helical flutes in a right-hand cutting direction, and a short-length geometry, this end mill delivers efficient chip evacuation and rigidity in precision machining applications. It is a centercutting design, allowing plunge entry. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for milling operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials in both roughing and finishing contexts. Its extended reach of 1-1/4 inches and a neck diameter of 0.2350 inches allow access into pockets and features where a standard end mill may not reach. The 36-degree helix angle promotes smooth cutting action and reduces chatter. It is compatible with HC 1/2 through HC 1-1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores and HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores, as well as HC-CV Form AD toolholders. The single-end, straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collet and hydraulic chuck systems.
Designed for use with HC 1/2 through HC 1-1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores, and HC-CV Form AD toolholders. The 1/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank is compatible with standard collet chucks and hydraulic chuck systems sized for that bore.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Torque the collet nut or hydraulic chuck to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, as runout directly affects corner radius accuracy and tool life.
