The KENNAMETAL 6767708 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance material removal and finishing operations in demanding machining environments. Built on the KOR6 platform, this 6-flute tool features a 5/8 inch diameter, a 0.03 inch corner radius, and an AlTiN PVD coating that extends tool life when cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The extra-long length of cut at 3-1/8 inches and an overall length of 6 inches make it well suited for deep-pocket and extended-reach applications. The close-pitch, right-hand spiral flute geometry supports chip evacuation and surface finish quality in finishing passes.
This end mill is designed for use in CNC machining centers where high-rigidity toolholding is required. The Safe-Lock shank type is compatible with HC 1/2 through HC 1-1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores and HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, as well as HC-HSK Form A toolholders. Typical applications include finish milling of mold and die cavities, aerospace components, and precision steel or stainless steel parts where corner integrity and dimensional accuracy are critical. This tool is intended for use by skilled machinists and CNC programmers in production shop environments.
Compatible with HC 1/2 through HC 1-1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, and HC-HSK Form A toolholding systems. Designed for primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the controller is in an e-stop state before installing or removing end mills. Confirm proper toolholder torque and runout before initiating any cut. Follow the toolholder manufacturer guidelines for Safe-Lock engagement and hydraulic sleeve clamping procedures.
