The KENNAMETAL 6767678 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal and finishing operations in demanding machining environments. It features a 5/8-inch diameter with a 0.03-inch corner radius, six flutes, and a 1-7/8-inch length of cut. The AlTiN physical vapor deposition coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting ferrous and hard materials. The KOR6 series geometry uses a close pitch, high-helix spiral flute configuration that promotes chip evacuation and surface finish quality. This tool is single-end and centercutting, allowing plunge entry when required. It is used by machinists and toolroom professionals on CNC mills and machining centers.
The 6767678 is suited for finishing applications in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The Weldon flat shank provides secure toolholder engagement, reducing pullout risk under high cutting loads. With a 4-inch overall length and 5/8-inch shank diameter, it is compatible with standard 5/8-inch collet chucks, shell mill adapters, and Weldon-style holders. It is also listed for use with EM-CV Form AD and EM IN-HSK Form A toolholding systems. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction follow standard CNC mill conventions. The submicron carbide grade substrate supports edge retention in abrasive and high-hardness workpiece materials.
Compatible with EM-CV Form AD and EM IN-HSK Form A toolholding systems as specified by the manufacturer. Accepts standard 5/8-inch Weldon flat shank toolholders. Intended for use on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials per KOR6 series application guidelines.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool path program is confirmed before loading the tool. Seat the Weldon flat fully into the holder bore and torque the set screw to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting, as excessive runout accelerates wear on carbide end mills and degrades surface finish.
