The KENNAMETAL 6764474 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining environments. Built on the KOR5 platform, it features a 3/4 inch diameter with a 0.06 inch corner radius and five right-hand spiral flutes running at a high helix angle of 40 degrees. The extra-long 7 inch overall length and 3-3/4 inch length of cut make it well-suited for deep-pocket and long-reach applications where standard-length tooling cannot reach. An AlTiN PVD coating delivers thermal resistance and hardness, supporting both roughing and finishing passes in a single tool. Coolant-through capability aids chip evacuation and thermal management at the cutting zone. Licensed machinists and CNC tool-and-die professionals are the primary users.
This end mill is designed for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials, covering ISO material codes P, M, K, S, and H. It is built for single-end use with a straight cylindrical 3/4 inch shank diameter, making it compatible with standard collet chucks and hydraulic toolholders. Typical applications include deep-cavity mold work, aerospace structural components, and high-alloy steel part machining where edge stability and long reach are required simultaneously. The KOR5 series submicron carbide grade maintains rigidity under aggressive axial and radial engagement in these material families.
Compatible with HC 1/2 through HC 1-1/4 hydraulic sleeves (inch bores), HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves (metric sleeves with inch bores), and HC-HSK Form A toolholders. Straight cylindrical 3/4 inch shank fits standard collet and hydraulic chuck systems accepting that bore size.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom professional with the machine in a fully locked-out, zero-energy state per OSHA lockout/tagout requirements. Confirm toolholder bore and projection length before setting tool offset values in the machine controller. Do not exceed the recommended axial depth of cut for the specific workpiece material without consulting the manufacturers cutting data. Inspect the corner radius and flute lands for chipping after each run in abrasive or hard materials.
