The KENNAMETAL 6764472 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. Built on the KOR5 platform, this tool features a 0.5-inch diameter with a 0.03-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge and extends tool life in hard and abrasive materials. Five flutes with a high-helix, right-hand spiral geometry and AlTiN PVD coating work together to manage heat and maintain edge integrity at elevated cutting speeds. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation in deep-cavity and long-reach applications. This end mill is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working in production or job-shop environments.
The 6764472 is rated for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials, making it well-suited for aerospace, die and mold, and general precision machining work. The extra-long 2.5-inch length of cut combined with a 5-inch overall length allows access to deep pockets and tall workpiece features without requiring specialty extended-reach adapters in most setups. The single-end configuration and straight-cylindrical shank are compatible with standard end mill toolholders. Normal pitch and fixed helix geometry provide predictable, stable cutting behavior for both roughing and finishing passes.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials (ISO material codes P, M, K, S, H). Part of the KENNAMETAL KOR5 series.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists with the spindle fully stopped and machine control in a locked or safe state. Confirm toolholder bore and collet size match the 0.5-inch straight-cylindrical shank before mounting. Verify runout after clamping, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear and reduces tool life, particularly at the fine corner radius. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and KENNAMETAL cutting data recommendations for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut for the specific workpiece material.
