The KENNAMETAL 6764360 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill in the KOR5 series, designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. It features a 0.25 inch diameter, a 1.25 inch length of cut, and a 0.03 inch corner radius that blends floor-to-wall transitions and reduces edge chipping on hardened and exotic workpiece materials. The five-flute geometry with a high helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation while supporting both roughing and finishing passes. An AlTiN PVD coating provides heat and oxidation resistance at elevated cutting speeds. Coolant-through capability delivers fluid directly to the cutting zone for extended tool life in deep-slot and long-reach applications.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers running steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The extra-long flute length and straight cylindrical shank make it appropriate for applications requiring reach into deep cavities or pockets where standard-length tools cannot engage. It is commonly installed by machinists and tooling setup technicians in job shops, aerospace, die and mold, and precision manufacturing environments. The KOR5 series is specifically engineered for right-hand cutting in normal-pitch, single-end configurations without a chipbreaker.
Designed for use with HC 20M through HC 32M Hydraulic Sleeves Metric with Inch Bores and HC-CV Form AD toolholders. Fits standard straight-cylindrical 0.25 inch bore collets and chucks on CNC machining centers capable of accepting a 0.25 inch shank diameter.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and machine is placed in an appropriate safe state before changing tooling. Confirm the tool is seated to the correct gauge length in the holder and that runout is within the tolerance required for the intended application. Verify coolant-through passages in the holder are clear and compatible with the tool before engaging the coolant system.
