The KENNAMETAL 6763984 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for demanding metal removal in production machining environments. The tool runs a 20 mm cutting diameter with a 1.00 mm corner radius, five flutes, and a 40-degree high-helix geometry that promotes chip evacuation and reduces radial cutting forces. An AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal and oxidation resistance, extending tool life in dry or semi-dry cutting conditions. The submicron carbide grade supports both roughing and finishing operations in a single setup. Coolant-through construction delivers cutting fluid directly to the cutting edge for sustained performance in deep-slot and long-reach applications. Licensed machinists and CNC operators in job shops, aerospace, and contract manufacturing facilities are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The 60.00 mm length of cut and 125.00 mm overall length make it appropriate for shoulder milling, side milling, and full-slot operations where reach into deep pockets or tall workpiece walls is required. Single-end construction keeps the shank diameter at 20.00 mm, and the straight-cylindrical shank is compatible with hydraulic and collet-style toolholders commonly used in high-speed machining centers. The KOR5 series designation indicates Kennametal's five-flute platform optimized for high-feed roughing through finishing on difficult-to-cut alloys.
Designed for use with HC 1/2 through HC 1 1/4 Hydraulic Sleeves Inch with Metric Bores, ER Single Angle Standard Collets, and HC-DV Form B/AD toolholders. The 20.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank seats directly in any toolholder sized to that bore diameter.
Installation is performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Confirm the toolholder bore matches the 20.00 mm shank diameter before assembly and torque all clamping elements to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool. Do not exceed the runout tolerance specified by the toolholder manufacturer, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on multi-flute solid carbide tools.
