The KENNAMETAL 6763683 is a DNMG432MP turning insert in grade KCS10B, designed for general turning, facing, boring, back turning, and back boring operations on CNC and manual lathes. The insert features a 55-degree diamond (rhombic) shape, a PVD-applied AlTiN coating, and a chamfered and honed cutting edge style. With four usable cutting edges and a neutral hand orientation, it delivers high wear resistance across a range of workpiece materials. The MP chip breaker geometry is suited for roughing and medium machining applications. Insert length measures 1.2208 inches with an inscribed circle of 0.5000 inches and a corner radius of 0.0313 inches (1/32 inch).
This insert is engineered for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, superalloys, and titanium workpiece materials, covering ISO material codes P, M, K, N, S, and H. It fits KENLOC-series toolholders that accept DNMG-style inserts with clamp and pin holding methods. Typical applications include medium to heavy-duty turning and facing operations in production machining environments. The negative rake and negative side clearance geometry supports stable cutting at higher feed rates, making this insert appropriate for both manual and automated turning cells operated by machining professionals.
Designed for use in KENLOC-series toolholders accepting DNMG-style inserts with clamp and pin clamping. Compatible with toolholder systems specified for ANSI insert code DNMG432 or ISO insert code DNMG150408. Suitable for workpiece materials classified under ISO codes P, M, K, N, S, and H.
Machining professionals should index or replace inserts only after the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured against rotation. Use the appropriate torque wrench and clamping hardware specified by the toolholder manufacturer when seating the insert. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for chips or burrs before installation to ensure proper seating and edge alignment. Dispose of worn inserts in accordance with applicable shop waste and sharps handling procedures.
