The KENNAMETAL 6763673 is a DNMG431FP carbide turning insert coated with AlTiN via a PVD process and manufactured to the KCS10B grade. It features a 55-degree diamond (rhombic) shape with a neutral hand orientation, a negative rake angle, and a honed cutting edge. The inscribed circle measures 0.5000 inches, the corner radius is 0.0156 inches (1/64 inch), and insert length is 1.2208 inches. Designed for finishing operations, the FP chip breaker geometry controls chip flow at light-to-moderate depths of cut, making it well suited for precision turning on difficult materials. The insert is held in a KENLOC-style toolholder using a clamp and pin system.

This insert is intended for use in CNC turning centers and manual lathes performing turning, facing, boring, back turning, and back boring operations. The KCS10B grade targets high wear-resistance to moderate toughness across steel (P), stainless steel (M), cast iron (K), aluminum and non-ferrous (N), superalloys and titanium (S), and hardened materials (H).
