The KENNAMETAL 6756008 is a solid carbide turning insert with an AlTiN PVD coating, designed for precision finishing operations on lathes and turning centers. Identified by industry standard code DNGG431FS and ISO code DNGG150404FS, this insert features a 55-degree diamond (rhombic) shape with a neutral hand orientation and negative rake and side clearance geometry. The KCS10B grade is engineered for high wear resistance across steel, stainless steel, and cast iron workpiece materials. With four available cutting edges and an FS chip breaker optimized for finishing, it delivers consistent surface finish and dimensional control in demanding production environments. Licensed machinists and CNC turning specialists are the primary installers of this insert type.
This insert is suited for finishing passes in turning, facing, boring, back turning, and back boring applications. Its KCS10B grade with AlTiN coating performs across a broad material range including steel (P), stainless steel (M), cast iron (K), aluminum and non-ferrous materials (N), superalloys and titanium (S), and hardened materials (H). The KENLOC series insert is held in place using a clamp and pin holding method, making it compatible with standard KENLOC-style toolholders designed for DNGG geometry inserts. It is appropriate for both high-production CNC turning and general-purpose lathe work where a fine finish and tight tolerances are required.

This insert is installed and serviced by qualified CNC machinists or tool-and-die professionals. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Use the appropriate torque wrench for the clamping screw as specified by the toolholder manufacturer — do not overtighten, as this can fracture the carbide insert. Inspect the toolholder seat and clamp for wear or debris before seating a new insert to ensure proper contact and runout.
