The KENNAMETAL 6754969 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 1 inch cutting diameter, a 3 inch length of cut, and a 0.03 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge. With 5 flutes and a medium helix spiral geometry, the tool supports both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup. The KOR5 series construction uses submicron carbide grade material for edge stability and wear resistance. Overall length is 5.5 inches with a 1 inch shank diameter. The bright uncoated finish is suited for non-ferrous materials where coating adhesion is not required.
This end mill is intended for machining non-ferrous metals such as aluminum alloys, copper, and similar workpiece materials. It is a single-end, right-hand cut, right-hand flute tool configured for standard-pitch spiral milling. The Safe-Lock shank design is compatible with KENNAMETAL hydraulic clamping sleeves, including HC 1/2 through HC 1 1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores, HC-HSK Form A, and HC-CV Form AD holders. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and thermal management during deep-cavity or long-reach cuts. Centercutting is not supported on this configuration.
Compatible with HC 1/2 through HC 1 1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores, HC-HSK Form A holders, and HC-CV Form AD holders as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician familiar with CNC milling setups. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the end mill. Use a torque wrench and follow the toolholder manufacturer specifications when tightening the Safe-Lock clamping system. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating to confirm proper tool engagement before initiating a cut.
