The KENNAMETAL 6754959 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in aluminum and non-ferrous materials. Part of the KOR5 series, it features a 5/8-inch mill diameter, five flutes, and a 35-degree helix angle that promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The bright/uncoated finish is well suited for aluminum alloys and other non-ferrous metals where coatings can cause material adhesion. With a 1-7/8-inch length of cut and 4-inch overall length, this single-end tool is built for CNC machining centers and manual knee mills alike. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is intended for use on aluminum, copper, brass, and other non-ferrous workpiece materials where sharp edges and high rake geometry reduce cutting forces and heat generation. The centercutting design allows for plunge milling operations in addition to standard peripheral and slot milling. A chipbreaker geometry along the flutes aids in breaking chips into manageable segments, reducing recutting and tool wear. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration are standard for conventional CNC milling setups. The 5/8-inch shank diameter matches common collet and end mill holder sizes found in most shop environments.
Designed for use in aluminum and non-ferrous materials (primary workpiece material code N). Fits standard 5/8-inch collets, end mill holders, and hydraulic chucks. Part of the KENNAMETAL KOR5 series.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the 5/8-inch shank in a clean, properly torqued collet or end mill holder before use, and verify runout with a dial indicator if close-tolerance work is required. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and depth of cut.
