The KENNAMETAL 6677060 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metalworking applications. Built to the H1TE series specification, this single-end tool features a 3/4 inch diameter, a 3 inch length of cut, and a 6 inch overall length. Four flutes with a variable helix angle between 36 and 39 degrees and a variable index provide smooth chip evacuation and reduced chatter. The AlTiN PVD coating extends tool life in elevated-temperature cutting environments. A 45-degree chamfer angle with a 0.0200 inch chamfer width enables precise edge preparation and corner breaking on finished surfaces. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install and run this tool in production and job shop environments.
This end mill is engineered for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Its centercutting geometry supports ramp-down entry, helical interpolation, plunging, recessing, drill milling, shouldering, and slotting operations. The 3/4 inch Weldon flat shank provides positive drive retention in standard end mill holders and collet chucks. This tool is suited for both roughing and finishing passes in vertical and horizontal machining centers running right-hand spindle rotation with conventional or climb milling strategies.
Designed for use in standard 3/4 inch end mill holders and collet chucks on vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers. Suitable for ISO workpiece material classes P (steel), M (stainless steel), K (cast iron), S (superalloys and titanium), and H (hard materials). Catalog reference number H1TE4CH0750X300HB.
Installation and tool changes must be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Seat the Weldon flat against the toolholder setscrew and torque per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before production cutting. Follow all applicable shop safety procedures and machine tool manufacturer guidelines when setting feeds, speeds, and depth of cut for the workpiece material.
