The KENNAMETAL 6677003 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining environments. Built to the H1TE series specification, this single-end tool features a 0.5-inch mill diameter, 1.25-inch length of cut, and a 45-degree chamfer angle with a 0.0200-inch chamfer width. The four-flute variable-helix geometry reduces chatter and improves chip evacuation. An AlTiN PVD coating increases surface hardness and heat resistance, extending tool life when cutting ferrous and hard materials at elevated feeds and speeds. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers in production shops typically select this tool for finish and roughing passes on tight-tolerance features.
This end mill is suited for operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials (ISO material codes P, M, K, S, H). Its centercutting capability and variable flute design support shouldering, slotting, ramp-down, helical interpolation, drill-mill, plunging, and recessing applications. The straight cylindrical shank with 0.5-inch shank diameter fits standard ER and side-lock toolholders common in vertical and horizontal machining centers. It is cataloged under Kennametal part number H1TE4CH0500R125HA.
Compatible with steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials as stated by the manufacturer. Fits standard 0.5-inch straight cylindrical toolholders. Cataloged under Kennametal series H1TE, manufacturer catalog number H1TE4CH0500R125HA.
Installation is performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Secure the straight shank in a properly sized collet chuck or end mill holder and verify runout before cutting. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling in accordance with facility safety procedures. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer recommended cutting parameters for the workpiece material being machined.
