The KENNAMETAL 6676976 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. Built to the H1TE series specification, this single-end mill features a 0.625 inch diameter, a 1.25 inch length of cut, and a 3.5 inch overall length. The AlTiN coating improves heat resistance and tool life when cutting ferrous and difficult-to-machine materials. The variable helix angle of 36 to 39 degrees combined with a variable index design reduces chatter and vibration, producing a cleaner cut and extending tool life in production settings. Licensed machinists and CNC operators use this tool for precision milling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials.
This end mill is suited for use in vertical and horizontal machining centers as well as CNC milling machines where high material removal rates and surface finish quality are required. Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC programmer familiar with toolholder torque specifications and runout requirements. Verify toolholder bore cleanliness and proper seating depth before tightening to avoid runout that can lead to premature tool breakage. Coolant-through is not supported on this tool, so external coolant or air blast should be directed at the cutting zone during operation.
