The KENNAMETAL 6676975 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. Built to Series H1TE specifications, it features a 0.625-inch cutting diameter, a 0.75-inch length of cut, and a 3-inch overall length. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and hardness retention at elevated cutting temperatures, making this tool well-suited for aggressive feeds and speeds in difficult-to-machine materials. Four spiral flutes with a variable helix angle of 36 to 39 degrees and variable index geometry work together to reduce chatter and improve surface finish. The single-end, right-hand cut configuration is compatible with standard vertical and horizontal milling setups.
This end mill is intended for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials, covering ISO material codes P, M, K, S, and H. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry in addition to peripheral and slot milling. The regular-length body and 0.625-inch shank diameter make it a straightforward fit for standard collet chucks and end mill holders used in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. Material grade KCPM15 provides the substrate toughness and wear resistance needed for interrupted cuts and multi-material production runs. No coolant-through feature is present; external flood or mist coolant is the appropriate delivery method for this tool.
Designed for use with steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials as listed in the Series H1TE product family. Fits standard 0.625-inch collet chucks and end mill holders in CNC machining centers and conventional milling machines.
Installation is performed by machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Secure the shank to the full recommended engagement depth in the collet or holder to minimize runout and tool pull-out risk. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and KENNAMETAL speed-and-feed guidelines for the specific workpiece material before cutting.
