The KENNAMETAL 6676947 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding industrial applications. With a 0.75 inch mill diameter, 1.5 inch length of cut, and a 4-inch overall length, this single-end tool is built for precision stock removal and finishing passes. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in abrasive and high-heat cutting environments. The 360 variable helix geometry combined with variable index spacing reduces chatter and harmonic vibration, making it well suited for aggressive material removal on difficult workpiece materials. Licensed machinists and CNC tool-setters are the primary installers and operators of this tool.
This end mill is engineered for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials, corresponding to ISO material codes P, M, K, S, and H. It is a fit for CNC machining centers and manual mills in production shops, job shops, and maintenance machining environments where consistent edge performance across varied material hardness is required. The H1TE series is a recognized platform for multi-material capability in both roughing and semi-finishing operations.
Designed as a direct-fit cutting tool for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 0.75 inch straight shank. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials (ISO material codes P, M, K, S, H).
This tool is installed and operated by machinists or CNC technicians following shop-standard toolholding procedures. Secure the 0.75 inch shank in a properly sized collet, end mill holder, or shrink-fit holder, ensuring full engagement depth per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Confirm spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation before operation. Do not exceed the tool rated application parameters for the target workpiece material.
