The KENNAMETAL 6676911 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. Built to the H1TE series standard, it features a 0.125 inch cutting diameter, a 0.5 inch length of cut, and a 2 inch overall length with a 0.125 inch shank. The AlTiN coating provides heat and wear resistance suited for dry and semi-dry cutting conditions. A variable helix angle in the 36-39 degree range with variable index geometry reduces harmonic vibration during the cut. This single-end, center-cutting tool is engineered for licensed machinists and CNC operators working in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is rated for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials under the ISO material codes P, M, K, S, and H. The regular-length geometry and right-hand cut with right-hand spiral fluting make it a standard-configuration tool for conventional and climb milling operations on vertical and horizontal machining centers. The 1.4685 inch neck length provides clearance for light-reach applications without requiring extended-reach tooling.
Designed as an OEM-grade solid carbide square end mill in the KENNAMETAL H1TE series, suitable for use in 0.125 inch collet holders, shrink-fit toolholders, and hydraulic chucks accepting a 0.125 inch shank diameter.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC setup technicians using appropriate toolholders rated for the 0.125 inch shank diameter. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an E-stop or lockout state before loading or unloading the tool. Confirm runout at the toolholder before cutting, as small-diameter carbide end mills are sensitive to excessive radial runout. Do not exceed manufacturer-recommended feed and speed parameters for the workpiece material and coating type.
