The KENNAMETAL 6676560 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill built for high-demand metal removal in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It carries a 1-inch cutting diameter with a 0.06-inch corner radius, a 2.25-inch length of cut, and a 5-inch overall length. The tool features a 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration with a 36-degree helix angle and an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating applied over a submicron carbide grade. The Weldon flat shank measures 1 inch in diameter. This end mill is designed for both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup, making it a productive choice for shops running demanding alloy and hardened-material applications.
The 6676560 belongs to the KENNAMETAL H1TE series, which targets aggressive metal cutting in production environments. Typical applications include profiling, slotting, and pocketing in steel and stainless fabrication, mold and die work involving hard materials, and aerospace or energy component machining involving superalloys and titanium. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, adding flexibility during toolpath programming. Compatible toolholders listed in manufacturer data include EM-CV Form AD and EM IN-HSK Form A style holders. The normal pitch and fixed helix design suit stable, consistent cutting over the full length of cut.
Compatible with EM-CV Form AD and EM IN-HSK Form A toolholders as specified by the manufacturer. The 1-inch Weldon flat shank fits standard 1-inch bore set-screw holders conforming to those form designations.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Seat the Weldon flat against the set-screw contact point and torque the holder fastener per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout at the cutting diameter before initiating a cut, particularly in tight-tolerance or hard-material applications where edge deflection can accelerate wear.
